I had an English breakfast tea at the Peninsula coffee shop next door, which was lovely. I then explored the gentleman‘s bathroom - the experience was so nice that I had to drop my first-ever bathroom review of a hotel. It is extremely clean, pristine condition, lovely decoration, the toilet seats are heated and have a bidet. It just feels very premium

The Peninsula London is simply next-level. The hotel itself is gorgeous and insanely comfortable, with top-notch facilities that make staying here effortless—restaurants, spa, airport service, everything works perfectly. What really makes it stand out, though, is the team. From the leadership down, everyone genuinely cares about making your stay exceptional, and it shows. They’re professional, welcoming, and make the whole experience feel seamless. If you want a hotel that’s not just about luxury, but about being looked after properly, this is it. Can’t recommend it enough.

My stay at The Peninsula London was overall excellent in terms of service and organization, especially considering that the stay was during the Christmas period, one of the busiest times in London. The level of service remained consistent and professional from arrival to departure. The check in experience was smooth and welcoming. The concierge team was a clear strength of the hotel. Professional, efficient, and very knowledgeable about London, they handled recommendations, arrangements, and transportation seamlessly. This level of concierge service truly elevates the guest experience. The luxury car service was outstanding. Being driven in Rolls Royce, Mercedes, and BMW vehicles to destinations such as Harrods, Selfridges, Mayfair, and Park Lane added real value and convenience to the stay. The room was practical and fully equipped. It included a printer, coffee machine, full heating system, and a very well designed bathroom with a bidet shower and comfortable heating. All essentials were thoughtfully provided without the need to request anything additional. The Flip Box service was extremely convenient for laundry, pressing, and deliveries, offering full privacy and ease without disturbance. Dining and coffee quality were excellent, including well prepared Eastern dishes. The lobby was elegant, and cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel were maintained to a very high standard. I would like to extend special thanks to Mr Galib Rahman, Assistant Guest Experience Manager, for his professionalism and genuine attention to guest comfort. Dining at the lobby restaurant was excellent. The food quality was consistently high, with a wide variety of options. The afternoon tea was very well executed and enjoyable. They also offer a very good meat biryani, along with desserts and comfort dishes that suit Middle Eastern tastes. Overall, the menu is diverse and well balanced, and everything I tried was well prepared and flavorful. The only and important concern relates to the checkout experience. A Discretionary Service Charge was added as a fixed nightly amount and was presented by the front desk staff as mandatory. It was not explained that this charge is optional under UK regulations, nor was I given the choice to accept or decline it. The amount was significantly higher than what I had prepared for at checkout, and I was placed in an uncomfortable position where I had to pay using multiple cards. This was particularly unexpected as I had been tipping staff directly on a daily basis. Such charges, whether optional or standard, should be clearly communicated in advance or handled with transparency and professionalism during checkout, without placing pressure on the guest. Overall, The Peninsula London delivers a strong and refined hospitality experience. Addressing this issue of transparency at checkout would ensure the experience remains consistent and fair for all future guests.

Afternoon Tea at The Peninsula London – A Perfect Birthday Treat I recently enjoyed afternoon tea at The Peninsula London as a birthday treat, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The service was impeccable, and I would particularly like to mention Ambre and Talha, who looked after us so beautifully. They were attentive, warm, and effortlessly professional, ensuring everything was perfect without ever being intrusive. Their care and attention genuinely elevated the experience and made the occasion feel especially memorable. The food was quite simply sumptuous. The sandwiches were beautifully fresh and perfectly balanced, the scones light and delicious with excellent accompaniments, and the pastries were exquisite — both visually stunning and a joy to eat. Each element felt thoughtfully prepared and indulgent without being overwhelming. The elegant, calm setting made it the ideal place to relax and savour the experience. It was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday and felt like a true luxury in every sense. An exceptional afternoon tea and outstanding service — I would happily return and highly recommend it for a special occasion.

We had a wonderful stay at the Peninsula London! We were touched by the warmth and hospitality of every person we came into contact with— from Garfield and Sonia at Reception, the housekeeping team who responded to our every need, the room service at breakfast, Gabriella in Guest Relations—they all made us feel so welcome! The rooms are modern yet extremely comfortable and spacious. We have stayed at almost every hotel in London because we visit frequently but the Peninsula was by far the best in comfort and service.

The room was amazing. Everything controlled by in-room remote control. Love the dressing room and bathroom design. It was simply a great stay and one which you would expect for a high end 5 star hotel in London. We have stayed at many 5 star hotels in London but we think we like the Peninsular hotel room the best so far. Only downside was the breakfast, we had to wait for quite a long time for a free table and also no one asked or checked if I needed anything extra after the meal was served. It was also quite difficult to get the attention of the serving staff.

Possibly the best hotel in London. Excellent dim sum, pastries and coffee. Gym and pool are elite. Hotel room was more spacious than expected and extremely comfortable. However overall, it's the experience facilitated by the staff that elevates this hotel above others. Looking forward to returning.

Exceptional Stay, With One Critical Operational Miss Our stay at The Peninsula London last weekend reaffirmed why the Peninsula brand remains one of our first choices globally — and why we are returning again The in-room technology is flawlessly integrated: lighting, climate, drapery, and service all controlled intuitively without ever feeling complicated. The cigar concierge lounge is among the finest hotel cigar environments in Europe. Proper ventilation, serious selection, knowledgeable staff, and a setting that feels both discreet and elevated. Combined with the rooftop views toward Hyde Park and Wellington Arch, the property delivers a strong sense of place that very few new London hotels achieve. Service throughout the stay was polished, warm, and highly professional. However — and this is important — there was a significant lapse that management should address. We pre-booked both arrival and departure transportation through the hotel and clearly communicated that we had three large suitcases. At 4:00 AM on departure, the vehicle provided could not accommodate our luggage. This resulted in an unnecessary and stressful scramble to secure our own Uber to Heathrow. For a property operating at this level, with advance notice and premium transfer pricing, this kind of logistical oversight should simply not happen. Early-morning departures are when guests most rely on precision. We share this not to diminish the experience — which was otherwise excellent — but because Peninsula positions itself at a standard where details define trust. Despite this misstep, we will return. The property, the design, the cigar program, and the overall sophistication make it a compelling London base for us. We hope on our next visit the transportation coordination reflects the same level of excellence evident everywhere else in the hotel. Looking forward to being back this weekend — ideally with flawless execution from start to finish.
